Yoon Hong-geun, chairman of the Genesis BBQ Group, received a Certificate of Merit from the New Jersey Legislature for achieving great results in the US market as a result of his investment in the global market.
President Yoon announced on April 12 that he received a certificate of merit from the New Jersey Congress in recognition of his contributions to New Jersey's economic development and job creation from New Jersey Senator Gordon Johnson, who recently visited Korea and is carrying out a schedule.
As of the end of March, BBQ is operating a total of 14 stores in New Jersey, including Westwood and Edison stores. In particular, New Jersey, USA, is where Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motors, as well as BBQ's global headquarters, are located. Also, New Jersey is one of the places where BBQ is expanding the most active investment in the country.

The Korean brand BBQ has been recognized in two influential magazines in North America. The first magazine, "Quick Service Restaurant (QSR)", is regarded as the most influential media outlet among the 14 magazines that restaurant owners should read in North America. The second magazine, "Mashed", is a food magazine published by Static Media, a content company that covers various topics such as food, lifestyle, and culture.
Both magazines have featured BBQ as a notable dining out brand, highlighting the brand's quality and unique offerings in the food industry. This recognition is a significant achievement for the Korean BBQ brand, as it highlights its growing popularity and success in the North American market.
In response, the New Jersey Council of the United States delivered a certificate of merit with gratitude for BBQ's contribution to the development of the local economy and the creation of many jobs.

Meanwhile, in August of last year, it received a commendation from the New Jersey Congress from Ellen Park, a member of the New Jersey State House of Representatives. At the presentation of her letter of commendation, Assemblywoman Ellen Park thanked Chairman Yoon for her continued investment in New Jersey's economic development and job creation.
