KT announced on April 26 that they have successfully developed and commercialized a new "5G Infrastructure Intelligent Control Solution" based on AI technology. This solution is designed to easily control 5G infrastructure, making it more efficient, convenient, and stable.
By combining their know-how in operating 5G commercial networks with AI technology, KT's solution is able to significantly strengthen the operational efficiency of 5G infrastructure. The solution is equipped with AI technology that can detect abnormalities in the status of networks and equipment in real-time. By comparing dozens of equipment quality data in real-time with pre-learned data, the solution can determine whether the equipment is abnormal or not with a single indicator.
The solution also displays the status of access and core equipment in five stages, making it easy to intuitively check the equipment and the degree of abnormality that occurred. Companies and institutions without network experts can use KT's "5G Infrastructure Intelligent Control Solution" to operate 5G Infrastructure networks without any burden.
By using this solution, customers can proactively respond to equipment abnormalities before service quality degrades in 5G. Even if an actual failure occurs, it is easy to respond by carefully analyzing problems in the entire network from the terminal to the core and informing them of measures.
KT has already applied the solution to four institutions, including Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, Samsung Seoul Hospital, Korea Aerospace Industries Co., Ltd., and Navy Headquarters, where 5G infrastructure is currently established. The company plans to expand the application of the control solutions to new 5G infrastructure businesses to help customers operate infrastructure efficiently.
Lee Jong-sik, executive director of the Infrastructure DX Research Institute at KT Convergence Technology Institute, said, "We expect 5G Infrastructure intelligent control solutions to ease the burden of network operation and contribute to the revitalization of 5G Infrastructure business."
