Genesis BBQ Group has announced its participation in the 2023 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference (MUFC), held in Las Vegas, USA.
The conference, which celebrates its 22nd anniversary this year, is an annual event that brings together brand head office officials and mega-franchise operators from the United States to exchange information and discuss the development and future trends of the franchise industry.
Genesis BBQ Group participated in the start-up fair that was held alongside the conference from the 25th to the 28th of the previous month (Korean time).
This was the first time that BBQ participated in the fair, where they introduced their differentiated K-chicken that has been captivating the taste buds of people around the world. During the 4-day event, the BBQ booth attracted 2,000 visitors and dozens of inquiries about starting a business each day.
Participation in the MUFC conference is exclusive to the most influential brands, and it is not open to the general public. This year, about 2,000 people participated in the event, including 800 mega-franchise store owners from across the United States, 287 franchise headquarters, and 1,200 related persons.
The conference discusses current issues and trends in the industry, and this year, New York Times bestselling author Peter H. Diamandis and others participated as keynote speakers.
"BBQ's participation in the MUFC conference was a result of their management's efforts to enter the global market for over 20 years, with growth in scale accelerating," said a BBQ official. "BBQ has opened 250 stores in 22 states in the United States and is rapidly emerging as an influential brand in the country."
Meanwhile, BBQ was named the fastest-growing restaurant brand in the United States by "Nation's Restaurant News," a global food service magazine, and ranked 5th in 2021 and 2nd in 2022.
