Samsung SDS has announced a strategic partnership with o9 Solutions, a leading U.S. supply chain platform company, and Emro, Korea’s No. 1 Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) solution company, to jointly develop and sell a global procurement supply chain management Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.
This partnership is expected to address the growing demand for superior supply chain management solutions, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and increasing geopolitical risks.
The three companies plan to complete the development of this innovative solution by the end of this year, with plans to secure customers from 2024 and grow it into a leading global solution.
Samsung SDS acquired a stake in Emro in March to secure a procurement supply chain management solution. Through this partnership, o9 Solutions' global SaaS platform and global business network have also been secured.
o9 Solutions will expand its business area by adding a purchase supply chain management solution to the original o9 Digital Platform. This combination of existing supply chain planning (SCP) solution and purchasing supply chain management solution will strengthen global competitiveness.
Emro will secure a global sales network, which was considered a limitation when domestic solution companies enter overseas markets. It is expected that this partnership will serve as an example of Korean software successfully entering the global market.
