Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, has announced a series of new initiatives aimed at empowering its ecosystem partners. These initiatives include the launch of an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Acceleration Program, a training empowerment program, and new incentives to reward partner excellence.
Edward Cai, Chief Commercial Officer at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, expressed the company's commitment to growing together with its global partners and providing them with stronger support to expand their businesses into Southeast Asia and beyond. The new initiatives demonstrate the value that Alibaba Cloud places on its partners and the potential for delivering significant benefits to customers by leveraging partners' industry expertise, technology capabilities, and market insights.
The ISV Acceleration Program is designed to provide global ISVs with financial incentives and technical support to expand their business opportunities in Southeast Asia. Alibaba Cloud will help ISV partners optimize their marketplace listing fee on the Alibaba Cloud platform and increase product sales through its sales team and network of channel partners. Additionally, the program offers comprehensive technical enablement resources to assist ISV partners in building, publishing, and operating their solutions on the cloud platform. Alibaba Cloud also plans to co-develop customized products and solutions with ISV partners to meet the digital transformation demands of customers in Southeast Asia.
Several ISV partners, including Neo4J, 6Estates, One2Cloud Pte Ltd, and SCash Global Pte Ltd, have already joined the acceleration program to maximize the benefits of their partnership with Alibaba Cloud.
At the Partner Summit, Alibaba Cloud also unveiled the Alibaba Cloud Partner Empowerment Portal, a training platform for global partners. The portal provides product and service trainings, certifications, educational content on emerging technologies, and resources to enhance partners' service capabilities. The goal is to empower 500 global partners, including channel partners, Managed Service Partners (MSPs), and ISVs, through training on cloud, AI, Web3, and more in the current financial year.
To support its partners outside China, Alibaba Cloud announced new financial incentives, including discounts and rebates, for resellers, distributors, and joint go-to-market initiatives. This is part of the USD 1 billion investment announced in 2022 to support global partners' technology innovation and market expansion.

During the summit, Alibaba Cloud also announced collaborations with ecosystem partners in the areas of security, blockchain, and talent development. The company partnered with IBM to provide a best-in-class security solution for businesses across the Asia-Pacific region, integrating features of IBM's security products with Alibaba Cloud's security capabilities. This co-developed solution aims to mitigate cybersecurity risks and create a secure cloud environment for clients during their digital transformation journey.
Alibaba Cloud also collaborated with Avalanche, a leading blockchain platform, to provide a launchpad for businesses to rapidly deploy metaverses on the Avalanche public blockchain. The Cloudverse solution enables businesses to customize, launch, and maintain their own metaverse space, opening new dimensions for customer engagement.
In addition, Alibaba Cloud announced collaborations with training partners to enhance talent development in Southeast Asia. The SEA Talent Empowerment Program aims to train 100,000 general public talents in the region in the current financial year. Training partners, such as Rahi Systems, Solutions for Asia, Lightning Cloud, and Edu360 Cloud, will contribute to this talent development drive.
