From May 15 to May 20, Korean Air made good on its pledge to support the communities it serves by dispatching its employees to a children's daycare center in Chitwan, Nepal.
Nestled at the base of the majestic Himalayas, Chitwan is located approximately 150 km southwest of Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, and is renowned for its well-preserved natural landscapes.
The dedicated Korean Air volunteer team embarked on various initiatives during their visit to the local daycare center for underprivileged children.
They installed water heaters and classroom audio equipment, enhancing the facilities for the children.
Moreover, the team imparted their language skills by teaching English and Korean, fostering educational growth among the children. Additionally, they provided crucial vitamin supplements and medical supplies to support the local residents in need.
Meanwhile, Korean Air remains deeply committed to engaging with communities and conducting philanthropic work both domestically and overseas. In the preceding year, the volunteer team dedicated their time to facility maintenance and educational programs in Cambodia's Battambang region. In 2020, the airline played an instrumental role in the construction of a dormitory at an orphanage in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
