Netmarble hosted its inaugural media showcase for this year's new games at G-Tower on June 1. The event unveiled three exciting titles: "Tower of God: New World," "Grand Cross: Age of Titans," and "Seven Knights Idle Adventure."
During the welcoming speech, Netmarble CEO Kwon, YoungSig highlighted the common thread running through these releases—a focus on enjoyable gameplay and captivating storytelling that leverages the strength of each intellectual property.
He expressed confidence in the games' appeal, citing factors such as their accessibility, animation-inspired visuals, and strategic depth, and expressed the company's commitment to delivering valuable experiences to players worldwide.
The media showcase commenced with a presentation of "Tower of God: New World," a collaborative animated RPG based on the immensely popular webtoon series of the same name. "Tower of God" debuted on Naver Webtoon in July 2010 and has since accumulated a staggering 6 billion views globally.
The webtoon follows the tale of a boy who enters a tower in pursuit of the girl who means everything to him, embarking on a thrilling adventure filled with tests and trials. "Tower of God: New World" faithfully brings the original story to life, offering players an immersive, animated experience.
Even if you don't know the original story, it is designed to naturally unfold the world of the game by adding a configuration in which users are invited to the tower and take a huge journey.
Players strategically utilize the five attributes, roles, and positions of their characters to engage in thrilling battles. The game is set to launch in the global mobile gaming market in July.
Next in line is "Grand Cross: Age of Titans," the first game based on Netmarble F&C's original IP, "Grand Cross." This title offers cross-platform support for mobile and PC platforms.
"Grand Cross: Age of Titans" unfolds the story of a real-world hero who, along with a group of heroes, must save a kingdom in crisis caused by a sudden dimensional shift.
"'Grand Cross' is an original IP prepared by Netmarble F&C for a long time, and plans to expand it to dramas and movies as well as webtoons and web novels," said Seo WooWon, CEO of Netmarble F&C. "The first game among them is 'Grand Cross: Age of Titans.'"
This game provides MMORTS-style manipulation that controls units freely in real time. In addition, the range system using aerial bombing and catapults and giant Titans added to the fun of strategic games.
Netmarble plans to release "Grand Cross: Age of Titans" worldwide, including in Korea, in August.
Lastly, Netmarble introduced the sequel to its flagship IP, "Seven Knights Idle Adventure," a mobile RPG designed for seamless, unattended gameplay.
The game offers a one-finger control scheme, enabling players to enjoy the full breadth of Seven Knights' growth, collection, and strategic elements with minimal effort.
The core gameplay revolves around progressing through stages and defeating monsters using the acquired heroes. By employing a 2D-to-3D spatial transformation, the game creates an immersive environment, and up to 10 heroes can be deployed simultaneously to devise unique strategies.
Above all, "Seven Knights Idle Adventure" boasts competitive elements that allow players to showcase their skills against others. The game delivers the ultimate enjoyment of strategic battles through hero placement and the utilization of distinctive abilities.
Netmarble is committed to fast-tracking the development of Seven Knights Idle Adventure, aiming for a global launch in September.
