KT has announced a business agreement with Dong-A ST to develop a medical education platform targeting Vietnamese medical staff.
The aim of this collaboration is to create an online platform that spreads South Korean medical technology, with a planned launch date in July. Under the agreement, Dong-A ST will contribute medical education content for the platform and assist KT in producing new materials.
Dong-A ST is the operator of "MediFlik," a renowned medical knowledge sharing platform in South Korea. "MediFlik" offers a wide range of content, including South Korean medical expertise, patient treatment experiences, updates on various diseases, and live online streaming services for academic events both domestically and internationally.
KT's medical education platform will provide up-to-date lectures in Korean across different medical disciplines, webinars, one-on-one Q&A sessions with instructors, local offline seminars, educational guidance, and offline seminar replays, all tailored to Vietnamese medical professionals.
Additionally, KT is in discussions with local hospitals in Vietnam regarding the promotion of joint online and offline seminars. These efforts aim to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Vietnamese medical community.
To ensure the platform's development aligns with local needs, KT has assembled an advisory group comprising medical professionals from prominent South Korean hospitals, commonly known as the "Big 5 hospitals." This advisory group will work on designing a curriculum that caters to the specific demands of Vietnamese medical staff and actively contribute to the production and supply of educational content.
Meanwhile, at the "2023 Korea-Vietnam Medical AI and DX Cooperation Forum" held in Hanoi, Vietnam on June 9, KT introduced this medical education platform to attract the attention of Vietnamese medical staff. The content introduced at the site included lecture videos in the field of tumor treatment provided by Dong-A ST.
