LG has unveiled its new vision statement for TVs in 2023 – “Sync to You, Open to All”, focusing on personalized experiences and inclusivity.

In its latest endeavor to enhance home entertainment, LG has introduced a unique feature for its 2023 smart TVs: the AI-powered "Personalized Picture Wizard."

To utilize the Personalized Picture Wizard, users simply select options that best reflect their preferences from a set of images. These options can include color tones, image sharpness, and more. The feature then generates a specialized preset based on these selections.

The aim of the feature is to simplify picture customization and make it accessible to all consumers, even those without technical expertise. Many users find calibrating their TVs daunting and often stick to default settings. The Personalized Picture Wizard addresses this challenge by offering an intuitive interface and easy-to-understand key words to describe picture preferences.

While the feature itself is user-friendly, the underlying technology is complex. Picture presets are based on six basic elements, which can be combined in countless ways to create over 85 million preset possibilities. The AI technology of the Picture Wizard selects the best option based on the user's selections and provides descriptions of their picture preferences.

"Since its introduction at CES, the Personalized Picture Wizard has received positive feedback from consumers," said LG officials. "In a user survey, 75 percent of respondents reported that the customized settings accurately reflected their picture quality preferences, while 90 percent found the feature intuitive and easy to use."

"Additionally, users have the flexibility to further modify their customized picture settings according to their preferences," he continued.

"LG’s customized home entertainment does not stop here," he added. "Besides providing personalized content recommendations based on the user’s voice search inquiries and keywords, LG’s smart TVs will soon come with a feature that lets every family member save their unique picture preset to their individual accounts."
