On July 3, LG Innotek announced its selection as the top partner of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), marking a significant achievement for a Korean company.
LG Innotek secured the esteemed Best Supplier Award in the "Impact" category during the Supplier Excellence Awards ceremony held at JLR's headquarters in Gaydon, England. This recognition is exclusively granted to partners who demonstrate exceptional levels of quality and innovation.
JLR conducts an annual evaluation to identify its most outstanding global partners. This year, the awards were restructured around five core values: "Customer Love," "Unity," "Integrity," "Growth," and "Impact." The company specifically recognizes organizations that have delivered distinct customer value in the realm of "impact" as its premier partners.
LG Innotek earned praise for its outstanding quality and stable supply capabilities, positioning itself as a worthy recipient of the Best Supplier Award. The company has consistently maintained the "Jaguar Land Rover Quality Certificate" since 2021, further solidifying its reputation for excellence.
In addition to its exceptional quality, LG Innotek showcased its reliability by promptly meeting customer demands and ensuring a steady supply of parts from its production base in Wrocław, Poland. The Polish facility is responsible for manufacturing seven types of vehicle electric parts, including DC-DC converters and battery management systems (BMS) for mild hybrid (mHEV) vehicles supplied to JLR.
“LG Innotek is a partner company with innovative products and customer service systems that can win awards in any of the five areas," said a JLR official. "LG Innotek is a reliable partner contributing to the growth of JLR through constant quality innovation.”
Moreover, LG Innotek's reputation for quality has garnered recognition from major overseas automotive manufacturers and electric parts companies such as GM in the United States, Continental in Germany, and Schaeffler. Being selected as JLR's best partner will undoubtedly strengthen LG Innotek's position in the global automotive electronic parts market while facilitating the acquisition of new customers.
“LG Innotek will continue to innovate in quality to provide differentiated customer value,” said Yoo Byung-guk, head of the electric parts division.
