LG Electronics is expanding its free streaming service, LG Channels, to offer a wide range of Korean content to LG Smart TV owners in Australia, Europe, and Latin America. This move comes as K-content continues to gain popularity worldwide.
In June 2023, LG successfully launched YTN, Korea's first 24-hour news service, on LG Channels in Australia, Brazil, Mexico, and Europe. This development allowed viewers from around the globe to access live news directly from Korea.
Now, LG is further enhancing its K-content offerings on LG Channels by introducing BINGE Korea. This expansion will provide LG Smart TV users in eligible markets with access to over 40 channels featuring Korean news, entertainment and lifestyle shows, K-dramas, K-pop, animation, and more, all without the need for a paid subscription.
In July, LG will be showcasing a collection of K-dramas, including beloved historical favorites like "The Nokdu Flower" and iconic series set in modern-day Korea, such as "The Heirs."
Additionally, the latest wave of K-content arriving on LG Channels will feature the NEW KMOVIES channel from NEW ID, as well as an exciting lineup of SLL drama titles.
LG Channels has become a popular platform for K-pop enthusiasts worldwide, offering them the opportunity to watch their favorite pop stars perform on the large screens of LG's Smart TVs.
To enhance the viewing experience for international audiences, many of the 40-plus K-content channels on BINGE Korea offer user-friendly options such as English dubbing and subtitles available in English, Spanish, French, or Italian.
