[Singapore] ADA, the digital subsidiary of Axiata Group, has joined forces with Meta to launch a Business Messaging hackathon aimed at accelerating the growth of WhatsApp as a communication tool for individuals and businesses in the APAC region. The ADA Business Messaging Hackathon 2023: Building the Future of Conversations will kick off on July 17, 2023, and will engage over 10,000 digital talents including students, developers, and entrepreneurs from Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The goal is to develop innovative chatbot solutions on the WhatsApp Business Platform to empower 1 million enterprises across APAC.

Participants in the hackathon will utilize ADA's Business Messaging Platform and APIs to create chatbot solutions that address real-world business challenges. The winners will have the opportunity to win prizes worth over US$25,000. To learn more about the hackathon and sign up, click here.

Srinivas Gattamneni, CEO of ADA, expressed his enthusiasm for strengthening the strategic partnership with Meta and contributing to the growth of the ecosystem. He emphasized the importance of seamless customer experience and strong customer relationships in today's business landscape.

Paul Kim, VP of Telco Ecosystem Partnerships APAC at Meta, highlighted the increasing number of customers engaging with businesses on WhatsApp in the APAC region. He emphasized that business messaging is a key growth pillar for Meta and emphasized the integration of ADA's top-notch CPaaS solutions, such as the Business Messaging Platform and APIs, with the WhatsApp Business Platform. This integration will enable businesses to communicate seamlessly with customers and provide personalized experiences.
