Hanjin Group has declared its intention to donate KRW 500 million to support the recovery efforts in the wake of the recent devastating torrential rains that have affected communities nationwide.
The relief funds are designated to be channeled through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, a renowned organization known for its swift and effective disaster response. With this generous donation, the association will be able to provide essential aid to those impacted by the floods, including emergency shelter, food, and vital goods.
Furthermore, the funds will contribute to the vital task of rebuilding and restoring the homes and roads that were severely damaged during the calamity.
“Our hearts are with those affected by the torrential storms,” said a Hanjin spokesperson. “We hope this donation will help the flood-stricken areas recover and rebound as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, Earlier this year, in a gesture of international solidarity, Hanjin Group contributed USD 500,000 to support the Türkiye Earthquake relief efforts. Moreover, in April 2022, it generously donated KRW 500 million to assist in the aftermath of the Gangneung forest fire.
