Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on July 21 that the "TIGER Secondary Battery Materials Fn ETF (462010)" has achieved KRW 100 billion in retail net purchases within four business days of listing.

This extraordinary achievement has set a new record as the fastest pace ever achieved by any domestic equity ETF in history.

The Korea Exchange reported that on July 18, the "TIGER Secondary Battery Materials Fn ETF" achieved a cumulative individual net purchase value of KRW 104 billion. Notably, this marked the quickest time on record for a domestic equity ETF to reach KRW 100 billion in individual net purchases. To put it into perspective, the previous record for the shortest period to achieve this milestone was 16 business days, making this growth unprecedented in the history of the domestic ETF market.

Launched on July 13, the TIGER Secondary Battery Materials Fn ETF made an impressive debut, with individual net purchases amounting to 37.8 billion won on the very first day of listing. This impressive figure shattered the record for the highest individual net purchases on a listing day in the 16-year history of domestic ETFs. Since its debut, the ETF has continued to attract strong buying interest, resulting in its net assets surpassing 200 billion won as of July 20.

The "TIGER Secondary Battery Materials Fn ETF" tracks the "FnGuide Secondary Battery Materials Index," which focuses on cathode materials and vertical integration compared to existing secondary battery materials-related indexes. The four core materials of a secondary battery are anode and cathode materials, electrolyte, and separator, of which anode materials are the most important as they determine the capacity and output of an electric vehicle battery.

In addition, the recent news of Tesla's cyber truck production has drawn attention to secondary battery materials companies, and the "TIGER Secondary Battery Materials Fn ETF" seems to be attracting more investment sentiment.
