The IAA MOBILITY 2023 gears up to witness an extraordinary live demonstration led by Gaia-X moveID, a pioneering venture orchestrated by Bosch and a consortium of innovative partners. This groundbreaking exhibit, featuring influential players like Bosch, Datarella, deltaDAO, Ocean Protocol, DENSO, Fetch.ai, htw saar, peaq, and 51nodes, aims to revolutionize the automotive landscape through peer-to-peer smart mobility solutions. Tesla and Jaguar EVs will take center stage, adorned with decentralized IDs, in a dynamic showcase of forward-looking business models that harness the power of peer-to-peer technology to shape a future mobility service ecosystem.

Unveiling its ambitious vision at IAA MOBILITY 2023, moveID, an integral component of the Gaia-X 4 Future Mobility initiative, promises an exclusive peek into the decentralized mobility service ecosystem. The live demonstration, powered by the MOBIX app, will spotlight the potential of peer-to-peer parking and charging using Tesla and Jaguar electric vehicles (EVs). This cutting-edge presentation will illuminate novel mobility services and revenue streams catalyzed by decentralized technologies, integrating seamless payments and autonomous transactions between interconnected devices.

As our cities embrace smarter mobility infrastructure and power grids, the need for secure party identification becomes paramount, especially for Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication. The moveID project tackles this challenge head-on with its digital mobility infrastructure, underpinned by Self-Sovereign Identities (SSIs). This innovative approach empowers vehicles, traffic infrastructure, and service providers to transact autonomously, all while leveraging blockchain as a neutral digital backbone.

Stepping into the immersive world of IAA MOBILITY 2023, moveID aims to demonstrate the tangible business and impact potential of SSIs assigned to vehicles and service providers. The live demo invites visitors to personally engage in the process of locating, reserving, and utilizing parking and EV charging facilities. Behind the scenes, decentralized tools work harmoniously to ensure a seamless, privacy-focused experience, as vehicles utilize their digital wallets to seamlessly cover parking and charging expenses.

The moveID project's formidable participants collectively contribute to the immersive demonstration:

Bosch, as the project lead, offers organizational and coordination support, while also showcasing an electric Jaguar equipped with cutting-edge hardware for V2X communications and self-sovereign identity implementation.

Datarella, a Web3 company builder, presents its MOBIX app as the joint user interface, seamlessly weaving together moveID's privacy-preserving functionalities with the aid of Fetch.ai's AI agents.

deltaDAO AG, a Web3 software expert, enables secure data sharing and analytics through the Gaia-X 4 Future Mobility moveID decentralized data marketplace powered by Ocean Protocol. This initiative aligns with data privacy regulations while unlocking innovative revenue streams.

Ocean Protocol steps in with open-source tools for the New Data Economy, facilitating secure and decentralized data sharing. This technology empowers the moveID data ecosystem, enabling secure data exchange and monetization.

DENSO, a global mobility supplier, extends organizational and technical support and sponsors the Alfen Eve Double Pro-line charging station for the live demonstration.

Fetch.ai, known for its open platform powering peer-to-peer applications, contributes its autonomous AI agent framework to orchestrate interactions among connected devices.

The Saarland University of Applied Sciences (htw saar) sponsors hardware for the live demo, including a Tesla Model X, showcasing the potential of self-sovereign data and identities.

peaq, the Web3 network powering the Economy of Things, provides self-sovereign peaq IDs for connected devices and a decentralized application for peer-to-peer vehicle charging.

51nodes, a Web3 software integration company, contributes by implementing Self-Sovereign Identities and verifiable credentials workflows for vehicles and service providers.

Beyond the scope of the automotive industry, this demonstration sets the stage for transformative business models applicable across diverse sectors, ushering in a new era of secure, privacy-focused digital transactions. With an eye toward the future, moveID invites stakeholders to join the EV charging ecosystem and shape a cohesive charging network.

Peter Busch, moveID Project Lead and Product Owner for Distributed Ledger Technologies (Mobility) at Bosch, reflects on the upcoming demonstration, noting, "The demonstration at IAA is meant to do just that, putting the first fruits of our work on public display in a testimony to the feasibility of its underlying vision."

Initiated in July 2022, the Gaia-X 4 moveID project enjoys fiscal support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, fueling its three-year journey of innovation and exploration.
