LG Electronics announced on Aug. 23 that it is launching LG StandbyME Go, which has received a lot of attention in the domestic TV market, in North America and Europe.
Starting this month in North America, LG StandbyME Go will be expanded to major European countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain from next month.
The product is a new lifestyle screen that allows users to freely enjoy content not only in indoor spaces such as living rooms and bedrooms, but also outdoors in parks and campgrounds, and has been sold out in quick succession since its launch.
The LG StandbyME Go features a design that resembles a ready-bag style suitcase with a 27-inch screen, stand, speakers, and battery, as well as a table mode that allows users to turn the screen horizontally or vertically or lay it down, depending on the viewing environment.
Since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has seen an increase in interest and demand for outdoor activities such as traveling and camping. LG StandbyME Go is expected to meet the needs of these customers.
"We've never seen a TV that fits in a suitcase before," said Digital Trends. The Verge called it "a product we've been waiting to experience and review."
LG Electronics will showcase StandbyME Go and other lifestyle experiences with StandbyME at IFA 2023, Europe's largest consumer electronics trade show, from September 1 to 5 at Messe Berlin.
