- Safe’s battle-tested smart wallet standard with zkSync’s native chain-level account abstraction are committing to give the benefits of account abstraction to the broader Web3 ecosystem.

- Safe, a critical Web3 infrastructure, will be deployed on zkSync Era to help projects in treasury operations and protocol governance via its Safe{Wallet} multisig.

- Safe{Core}, the smart wallet developer tooling stack, will also allow developers to build simplified and secure user experiences on top of zkSync Era.

[Zug, Switzerland] Safe, the most battle-tested smart wallet infrastructure, has integrated with zkSync Era to bring secure smart wallet experiences to the zkSync Era ecosystem. This enables developers to build dApps with seamless abstracted user experiences with the industry security benchmark.

The zkSync Era network has had an early commitment to transitioning to smart accounts, being the only zkEVM supporting native account abstraction enshrined in the consensus layer of the chain itself. The Safe rollout on the chain will further this commitment. With a modular account abstraction stack by Safe, developers and users can now enjoy enhanced security and freedom to build new and improved experiences for users.

Safe{Wallet}, known as critical infrastructure for teams to manage onchain treasuries (with multisig), as well as Safe{Core} account abstraction stack, will be available on zkSync Era starting Sep 11, 2023.

Lukas Schor, co-founder of Safe, shared, "zkSync Era rollout is part of bringing Safe onto L2s and ensuring that smart accounts are the standard on L2s. We prioritized zkSync as they share this vision and implement smart accounts natively on the network. Our modular stack will greatly benefit use cases, including gaming, DeFi, and other user experiences that need security and flexibility, along with the efficiency and cost that zkSync era provides”.

Marco Cora, SVP of Business and Operations, commented on the news: “User experience in crypto remains one of the biggest obstacles to mass adoption, and smart account support fixes this. Making better tools and core infrastructure available for developers and projects that support Account Abstraction will lead to drastically improved user experiences and give light to new use cases. As one of the most critical pieces of infrastructure in the Web3 ecosystem, the integration of Safe{Wallet} and Safe{Core} will be a game changer for the developer experience and the broader exosystem as a result.”
