Zurich, Switzerland — Obligate, a pioneering investment platform that facilitates the issuance of on-chain bonds and commercial paper for funding, has welcomed Thomas Zeeb to its Board of Directors. With more than three decades of experience in the traditional finance sector, including expertise in capital markets, securities and exchanges, post-trade infrastructure services, risk management, and regulatory compliance, Zeeb is set to bring valuable insights to the company.
In response to his appointment, Thomas Zeeb stated, "During my tenure as Global Head of Six, one of the significant projects I oversaw was the development of a digital asset trading and custody platform to complement our core services. It was during this period that I began to recognize the potential of innovative digital solutions in traditional finance. One of the longstanding challenges I've witnessed in the last few decades is the high cost, in terms of time and money, that companies face when raising capital, an issue Obligate directly addresses. Following his time at SIX, the Swiss financial services firm, Zeeb will assume this new position. Over the past decade, Zeeb has served as the Global Head of Exchanges, Head of Securities and Exchanges, and CEO of SIX Securities Services. He has also been a member of the company's executive board for 14 years and has chaired both SIX SIS AG and subsequently SIX Swiss Exchange and SIX Digital Exchange. Zeeb played a pivotal role in the creation of SIX Digital Exchange during his tenure at the firm. Currently, he serves as an advisor to Bain Consulting and is a board member of Fintica AI and the Athens Exchange Group.
