[Sydney] The stage is set for a star-studded affair at SXSW Sydney 2023, as Australians in Film (AiF) teams up with Screen Australia to present two captivating conference sessions. Featuring prominent Australian talent and Hollywood luminaries, these sessions promise to illuminate the global screen industry and showcase Australia's prowess in nurturing creative talent.

Spotlight on Blossom Films: On Thursday, October 19, Festival attendees will be treated to an exclusive look at the acclaimed production company, Blossom Films, known for its hit projects such as "Big Little Lies," "Nine Perfect Strangers," "The Undoing," "Love and Death,"  and the upcoming "Expats." Joining the discussion will be Australian screen legend and AiF supporter, Nicole Kidman, and her producing partner, Per Saari. This engaging conversation will explore their collaborative approach to working with visionary filmmakers, their criteria for choosing creative partners, and insights into their upcoming Australian projects, including the adaptation of Liane Moriarty's "The Last Anniversary" and the journey behind bringing their latest limited series, "Love and Death" (HBO 2023), to life.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: Taking place on Monday, October 16, this session brings together four prominent figures in the Australian film industry. Critically acclaimed actor, Jason Clarke, known for his roles in "Oppenheimer," "Mudbound," "Winning Time: The Rise of The Lakers Dynasty" and "Zero Dark Thirty," will share his journey to stardom. He will be joined by legendary director, Phillip Noyce, celebrated for his work on "Salt," "The Quiet American," "Revenge" and "The Resident." Adding to the star power is Hollywood trailblazer, actress Charmaine Bingwa, and breakout screenwriter, Amy Wang, of "Crazy Rich Asians 2" fame. Together, they'll provide an insider's view of the Hollywood industry, sharing their experiences and the wealth of knowledge they've garnered, with a special  focus on how this success can be brought back to Australia.

These sessions mark an exciting collaboration between AiF and Screen Australia and serve as a testament to Australia's contribution to the global entertainment landscape. They also align with SXSW Sydney's mission to nurture creative talent and showcase diverse voices. The festival has already attracted notable speakers across the industry, including Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker, Australian screen legend Leah Purcell, and Hollywood producer Bruna Papandrea..
