LS ELECTRIC will showcase a host of new products for next-generation, digitally enabled, eco-friendly smart power solutions.
LS ELECTRIC will simultaneously participate in the Seoul International Electric Fair & Power Generation Korea (SIEF) and Korea Smart Grid Expo (KSGE) 2023, the largest smart power energy exhibitions in Korea, which will be held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul from October 18 to 20.
LS ELECTRIC will have 35 booths (308㎡), the largest among the participating companies, under the theme of "Net Zero Game Changer, LS ELECTRIC," and will organize three zones including smart energy optimization management solutions (Smart Management), smart carbon neutral, and digital manufacturing, and will unveil a number of strategic solutions in the smart energy field and business strategies for the green energy market.
LS ELECTRIC will showcase the "Green Gas Re-Generation Solution", an insulated gas recycling system applied to the eco-friendly 170kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) developed for the first time in Korea.
The 170kV GIS is mainly applied to the operation of large substations. It is a core equipment that regulates the distribution of electricity by utilizing gas as an insulator, and the market is growing significantly with the expansion of zero-carbon policies.
LS ELECTRIC "Green Gas Re-Generation Solution" is a system that utilizes gas separation membrane technology to separate and purify Novec4710 (C4F7N1) from used green gas. C4F7N1 is a key component of insulating gas for eco-friendly power equipment.
Eco-friendly GIS has difficulties such as the need to inject new gas if it is out of the standard range during use, and the existing gas is difficult to recycle due to the risk of contamination and must be incinerated.
The "Green Gas Re-Generation Solution" effectively separates the C4F7N1 in green gas and liquefies it to high purity. Not only does it recover more than 90% of the C4F7N1 in green gas, but it can be reused immediately with a purity of more than 99.5%, which is comparable to that of new gas. The C4F7N1 can be reused for more than 70% of the cost of the green gas, significantly reducing operating costs.
Meanwhile, LS ELECTRIC will also showcase its next-generation ESS platform, Modular Scalable String Platform (MSSP), to target the global industrial Energy Storage System (ESS) market, and its smart factory solution platform, "Tech Square," which is key to transforming manufacturing competitiveness.
