According to Ookla Market Reports have delved into the depths of Internet performance in 51 global markets in Q3 2023, using the power of Speedtest Intelligence. Here is a snapshot of key insights from these reports, giving you a taste of what is dominating the mobile sector around the world.

North America.
United States: Verizon and T-Mobile dominate the mobile sector in the U.S. AT&T and Xfinity lead the fixed broadband market. In major cities, New York City and Chicago stand out for mobile, while Kansas City and San Jose stand out for fixed broadband.

Canada: Bell Mobility ensures the fastest mobile performance, and Shaw takes the lead in fixed broadband. In urban areas, Toronto and Montreal have  the fastest mobile and fixed broadband speeds, respectively.

Mexico: Telcel leads in mobile, and Axtel performs well in fixed broadband. Mexico City excels in both mobile and fixed broadband speeds.

Central & South America
Argentina: In Argentina, Personal delivers the best mobile performance, while Movistar leads in fixed broadband. Buenos Aires has strong speeds in both categories.

Brazil: Claro leads in mobile, and Vivo excels in fixed broadband in Brazil. São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are the top cities for both mobile and fixed broadband speeds.

Chile: Entel performs well in both mobile and fixed broadband, making it a strong player in Chile. Santiago has the highest speeds in both categories.

Colombia: In Colombia, Claro leads in mobile, and Tigo excels in fixed broadband. Bogotá has the highest speeds for both mobile and fixed broadband.

Peru: Entel leads in mobile, while Claro dominates fixed broadband in Peru. Lima has strong speeds in both categories.

Venezuela: Venezuela has limited data, but Movistar is a notable mobile player. The country faces connectivity challenges.

Europe 
Albania: One Albania and Vodafone share the fastest mobile performance, while Digicom leads in fixed broadband. Elbasan and Vlorë excel in mobile and fixed broadband, respectively.

Belgium: Proximus leads in mobile, Telenet in fixed broadband, and VOO has the highest consistency. Ghent and Antwerp have impressive mobile and fixed broadband speeds.

Denmark: YouSee dominates mobile, while Hiper outperforms in fixed broadband. Denmark  scores well on connectivity.

Estonia: Telia leads mobile, Elisa takes the lead in fixed broadband, and Infonet has the lowest latency. Estonia maintains strong mobile and fixed broadband connectivity.

Finland: DNA is the fastest mobile operator, while Telia has low latency. Lounea is the fixed broadband leader. Finland stands out for its consistent and fast connections.

France: SFR is the mobile leader and Orange has the lowest latency. Lyon and Paris have impressive mobile and fixed broadband speeds..

Greece: WIND dominates mobile performance, and Vodafone excels in fixed broadband. Greece scores well on connectivity.

Iceland: Nova and Síminn share the fastest mobile and Vodafone leads in fixed broadband. Iceland has good connectivity.

Ireland: Three dominates mobile, with Dublin having the fastest mobile speeds. Ireland's connectivity is strong, with Limerick leading in fixed broadband.

Italy: Iliad is the fastest in mobile, with Vodafone recording low latency. TIM is the fixed broadband. Italy has good mobile and fixed broadband performance.

Latvia: LMT and Tele2 share the fastest mobile speeds, while Baltcom leads in fixed broadband. Riga and Daugavpils perform have good mobile and fixed broadband performance.

Lithuania: TEO and Telia share the fastest mobile with TEO maintaining high consistency. Baltnetos Komunikacijos is the fixed broadband leader. Vilnius and Kaunas stand out for mobile and fixed broadband, respectively.

Luxembourg: POST Luxembourg is the fastest mobile operator. Esch-sur-Alzette and Luxembourg City perform well in mobile and fixed broadband.

Netherlands: VodafoneZiggo is the fastest mobile operator, while T-Mobile leads fixed broadband. Eindhoven and Amsterdam stand out for mobile and fixed broadband speeds, respectively.

Norway: Telenor and Telia share the fastest mobile speeds, while Get leads fixed broadband. Stavanger and Oslo have impressive mobile and fixed broadband speeds.

Philippines: Smart has the fastest mobile download speed, with strong mobile performance.

Turkey: Turkcell dominates mobile and Türk Telekom leads in fixed broadband. TurkNet outperforms with the fastest fixed broadband speeds. Istanbul shows strong connectivity.

Vietnam: Vinaphone is the fastest mobile operator, with high consistency. Viettel excels in fixed broadband. Vietnam shows strong connectivity.
