The Summoners War World Arena Championship 2023 (SWC2023) was more competitive than ever.
At Com2uS's SWC2023 World Finals on November 4, China's "LEST" won the title once again for the first time in four years, becoming the first player to be crowned world champions twice since 2019.
With so many of the world's best players in attendance, the action began in the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, "DILIGENT-YC", "LEST" and "TRUEWHALE" dominated the competition, while "PINKROID" pulled off a thrilling 3-1 upset to join the train to the quarterfinals.
After that, "LEST" defeated the strong favorite "DILIGENT-YC" and "TRUEWHALE" defeated the European powerhouse "PINKROID" 3 games to 1, setting up a US vs. China matchup.
In the final match, the two teams fought tooth and nail, with each set being decided by a narrow margin, before "LEST" emerged victorious, taking home $100,000 in prize money and the "SWC2023" trophy.
SWC2023, now in its seventh year, is a global eSports competition to determine the best player of Comptus' global hit "Summoners War: Sky Arena". Qualifiers and regional cups were held for about three months starting last August, with the final World Finals crowning the world's strongest players and concluding this year's festivities.
The World Finals, which were broadcast live with professional commentary in 13 languages including English, French, German, Japanese, and Thai, will be available for replay on the "Summoners War" esports channel.
