Taiga Motors, a Canadian electric off-road vehicle, has reached a significant milestone with the production of its 1,000th electric vehicle (EV). The 1,000th vehicle was built at the Montreal manufacturing facility, which opened in 2022. Designed to provide an exhilarating on-water experience while remaining environmentally friendly, the Orca Performance is equipped with an electric motor that delivers instant torque and acceleration. Taiga is also transitioning its manufacturing efforts to the Nomad vehicle, the world's first mass-produced 100% electric snowmobile, which utilizes the same modular powertrain as Taiga's watercraft. Similar to the Orca Performance, the Nomad is poised to revolutionize commercial operations and ski resorts with its cost-effectiveness, quiet operation and zero-emission performance. The platform is designed for efficient manufacturability without compromising high performance.
In addition, Taiga recently introduced the Cloud Connected Mobile App, which offers a host of new features for NomadTM snowmobile and OrcaTM personal watercraft owners. These features enhance the ownership experience, whether for work or play. The app provides real-time vehicle location, mode preference options, measurement system selection and charging details.
