Montreal, Canada- In a leap forward for production robot programming, RoboDK introduces TwinBox, a compact solution that integrates pre-installed RoboDK software into industrial PCs and small single-board computers (IPCs). Moving away from traditional computer dependency, TwinBox manages multiple devices and robots simultaneously in a production environment, meeting the demand for a more compact and versatile solution.

RoboDK, a robot simulation software company, heard the call for a streamlined solution that didn't rely on traditional computers. In response to customer demand, they created TwinBox, a self-contained system with a full suite of features. This innovative system makes it easy to set up and manage robotic systems using a simple single-board computer or IPC, conveniently controlled through a Web browser.

Dmitry Lavygin, software developer at RoboDK, emphasizes the uniqueness of TwinBox: "The goal with TwinBox is to provide a dedicated version of RoboDK for industrial computers and enable remote control on embedded devices without the need for a local display, keyboard or mouse.

Recognizing the need to minimize clutter and save space in production environments, RoboDK designed TwinBox to be space efficient and easily positioned next to or inside the factory robot's control system. This compact solution operates effectively without the need for a mouse, keyboard or monitor, requiring only network interfaces to seamlessly connect to an internal network and a robot control system.

TwinBox is proving to be an all-in-one solution for robot programmers and automation engineers, offering benefits such as compact size, low cost, easy setup, and versatility. Based on reliable technologies, it runs on both industrial and consumer hardware and supports multiple operating systems and hardware architectures.

Samuel Bertrand, Software Development Lead at RoboDK, points out, "The software works just like the desktop version of RoboDK. The main difference is that the system can be controlled remotely from any browser".

With its remote interface, TwinBox allows users to access and control their robotic systems from anywhere in the world, providing real-time monitoring and increased flexibility. The system also addresses the challenge of programming limitations for different robot brands, allowing users to connect multiple robots from different manufacturers into a cohesive system.

RoboDK, which already supports over 1000 robot models from 50 brands, ensures that TwinBox is compatible with a wide range of robots. The company plans to integrate TwinBox into the broader RoboDK ecosystem, enhancing the user experience with existing solutions such as the main RoboDK desktop application and web-based development tools.

As RoboDK envisions a future where TwinBox becomes an integral part of efficient robotic solutions in production environments, the potential applications for this compact system are limitless. Users are encouraged to explore the versatility of TwinBox and leverage its capabilities for streamlined and efficient robotic integration.
