Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun has been named "Industry Leader of the Year."
On November 27 (local time), Automotive News, the world's leading automotive publication, announced its 38 "2023 Automotive News All-Stars" and named Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun as its highest honor, the Automotive Industry Leader of the Year.
Automotive News was founded in the United States in 1925 and has a global reach through its online and Chinese editions in addition to its English-language readership.
"Hyundai Motor Group is leading the transformation of the automotive industry," said Automotive News. "Chairman Chung Eui-sun is writing a new history of mobility by pioneering a variety of future technologies."
The award recognizes Hyundai Motor Group's commitment to disruptive innovation, which is transforming the company into a next-generation mobility game changer with its forward-looking vision.
His differentiated electrification strategy and new business initiatives were also cited.
