Lotte Wellfood Shines at FoodExpo Vietnam 2023, Showcasing K-Food Excellence

South Korea's food tech company Lotte Wellfood announced on November 28 that it participated in FoodExpo Vietnam (FEV) 2023 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to promote the excellence of K-food and the appeal of the Lotte brand.

FoodExpo Vietnam is the largest international food fair authorized by the Vietnamese government. It was first held in 2015 under the auspices of the Vietnam International Trade Organization (VIETRADE), the country's trade promotion agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and has secured an international presence in a short period of time. 

As a global integrated food company, Lotte Wellfood organized a booth with various brands including sweets, ice cream, home meal replacement (HMR), and baby food, attracting customers of all ages from infants to middle-aged people. Over the four-day period from November 22 to 25, Lotte Wellfood's booth was visited by over 20,000 people, confirming the growing popularity and status of K-food.

The company showcased Lotte Wellfood brands and products, including ZERO, a sugar-free dessert brand that targets the health and wellness trend; Chefood, an HMR brand that offers tteokbokki and dumplings represented by K-food; Lotte Wellfood's three representative popsicles; Pepero, which has grown into a global mega brand sold in more than 50 countries including Southeast Asia and the United States; and Pasteur, a premium dairy brand responsible for healthy children's food.

Lotte Wellfood organized various experiential events at the fair, which drew great response from visitors.

Meanwhile, Lotte Wellfood's total exports to Vietnam up to October this year have exceeded last year's annual export value. This is a year-on-year growth of nearly 30%. 

The Vietnamese food and beverage market continues to grow at a high rate due to a large young population, economic growth, and rising incomes. Going forward, the company will continue to conduct active sales and marketing activities to raise awareness of the LOTTE brand and expand sales in the Vietnamese market, which has high growth potential. 

Next year, the company will focus on increasing the share of overseas sales in various ways, including participating in overseas fairs in the U.S., France, and Thailand.
