SK Group will showcase a future free of climate change at CES 2024, the world's largest consumer electronics and IT trade show, to be held in Las Vegas, U.S., from Jan. 9-12 next year.
SK Group announced on Dec. 13 that seven of its affiliates - SK Corporation, SK Innovation, SK hynix, SK Telecom, SK E&S, SK ecoPlant and SKC - will participate in CES 2024.
The SK companies will jointly operate an exhibition pavilion with the theme "Inspire Happiness". The size of the pavilion is 1,850 square meters, which is more than 50% (627 square meters) larger than CES 2023 in January this year.
The pavilion will be set up as a theme park featuring SK's carbon reduction technologies. Visitors can ride futuristic trains and flying carpets and get their fortune told by AI (artificial intelligence).
The idea is to allow visitors to experience the happiness they would feel in a Net Zero world, where the climate crisis has disappeared, including clean air and a comfortable living environment.
SK Group plans to use CES 2024 to position itself as the world's leading provider of carbon reduction solution packages.
SK is strengthening its leadership in the global market as a major manufacturer of semiconductors and electric vehicle batteries. The company is also continuously innovating to secure future growth engines centered on its four core businesses: Advanced Materials, Green, Digital, and Bio.
In his closing speech at the 2023 CEO Seminar in Paris, France, in October, SK Chairman Chey Tae-won emphasized that "new markets can open up if we bundle the group's diverse products to solve customers' problems."
