Doosan Group announced on Dec. 17 that it will participate in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, U.S., from Jan. 9-12 next year to showcase its carbon-free total energy solutions for a cleaner and safer future, as well as its latest technologies applying AI and unmanned automation.

Doosan Group Chairman Park Jung-won will visit the CES site with his executives, including Group Vice Chairman Park Ji-won, to observe the latest technology trends and explore future business directions. This will be Park's first visit to CES in four years, following his last visit in 2020.

Doosan will be exhibiting at CES under the theme of "Our Planet, Our Future" with a 780-square-meter booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) West Hall 5941. Doosan will also hold a press conference at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on January 8 at 3:00 p.m. (local time), one day before the opening of CES. At the event, the company will introduce its differentiated technologies and products to the media before welcoming visitors to the show floor during CES.

At CES, Doosan Enerbility and HyAxiom will showcase total energy solutions optimized for the carbon-neutral era, including nuclear, hydrogen, and wind power.

Doosan Enerbility, which has established itself as a global SMR foundry in the small modular reactor (SMR) market, will showcase its competitiveness in SMR cycle manufacturing. Hydrogen turbines, which are gaining attention as a carbon-free power generation technology, will also be on display. Doosan Enerbility is promoting the development of 400MW hydrogen turbines for power generation based on its capability to develop the world's fifth most successful gas turbine. The company will also introduce its eco-friendly technologies, including used battery recycling, wind blade recycling, and biogas hydrogenation, which are accelerating their commercialization.

HyAxiom, a U.S. subsidiary of Doosan Corporation with hydrogen fuel cell source technology and production plants, will unveil its Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) water electrolysis system technology to produce green hydrogen. Fuel cells for marine and land use, which are currently under development, will also be on display at the show.

Doosan Bobcat will showcase innovative solutions for the jobsite of the future, including an AI-powered, driverless and electric concept machine that will be unveiled for the first time at the show. Other cutting-edge products include the S7X, a fully electric skid steer loader that won two CES Innovation Awards for electrifying not only the internal combustion engine but also the hydraulic system, the Rogue X2, an unmanned concept loader that eliminates the cockpit, and an unmanned lawn mower.

Doosan Robotics will showcase a number of software and robotic solutions utilizing AI technology. One example is "Oscar the Sorter," an AI-powered recycling sorting solution that won a CES Innovation Award. There will also be a robot that uses AI to analyze human facial expressions and make customized cocktails. The company will also showcase how it is developing next-generation solutions that enable robots to learn and make decisions on their own by incorporating AI into the "Dart Suite," an operating system that allows users to operate robots as easily as a smartphone without coding.

Within the Doosan exhibit hall, presentations and panel discussions will be held on each company's digital innovation success stories. In particular, Doosan Digital Innovation will introduce trends in quantum computing and cybersecurity, as well as a project for AI prediction of electric furnace molten steel production that has won several global awards, and a project to introduce encyclopedia-generating AI.

"At CES, we focused on showing the world that tomorrow's technology is today's technology for Doosan through a variety of physical exhibits and scale models," said an official from Doosan.  "Technologies and products that can leave a good environment for future generations are not a distant future for Doosan, but a business that is already underway."
