SPC's bakery brand Paris Baguette is stepping up its local marketing efforts by promoting its holiday cakes on a billboard in Times Square in Manhattan and on broadcast programs including NBC and FOX.
First, Paris Baguette began promoting its seasonal menu, including 12 holiday cakes, with a Times Square billboard ad on December 13. The billboard will run through December 25.
On Dec. 1 and Dec. 3, Paris Baguette U.S. employees appeared on local Los Angeles television stations FOX11 and KTLA, respectively, to showcase holiday cakes and doughnuts, including the Gingerbread Rainbow Cake, Penguin Pond Cake and Mocha Bouche de Noel.
On December 13, Darren Tipton, General Manager of Paris Baguette U.S., appeared on NBC's local programs NY Live and LA Live to discuss the year-long development of the Christmas cakes, as well as product features. After sampling the strawberry red velvet cake, the program's hosts were impressed by its "fluffy, light and creamy texture."
SPC said that through the second week of December for this year's Christmas season, cake sales in the U.S. market were up about 10% year-over-year.
"Paris Baguette is actively engaged in marketing activities for the Christmas season both in Korea and overseas," said an official from SPC. "We will continue to strengthen our global marketing efforts so that more customers around the world can enjoy Paris Baguette cakes this Christmas."
Meanwhile, in June, Paris Baguette appeared on the nationally syndicated FOX NEWS program and was an official sponsor of the LPGA Mizuho America's Open golf tournament. This is the latest in a series of global marketing efforts, including the exposure of Paris Baguette's Korean-language LED advertisements in the stadium.
Paris Baguette operates more than 520 stores in 10 countries including France, the United Kingdom, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia, including more than 150 stores in North America, including the United States and Canada.
