CES 2024 Unveiled Las Vegas included more than 100 exhibitors and media from around the world. CES runs January 9-12, 2024. 

LAS VEGAS - The world's most influential technology event, CES® 2024, kicked off today with a dazzling display of innovations in artificial intelligence, sustainability, mobility and more. The show, which runs January 9-12, features more than 4,000 exhibitors from around the world showcasing their solutions to the world's biggest challenges and setting the agenda for the year ahead in technology, business and entertainment.

CES Media Days, held January 7-8 at the Mandalay Bay, provided a preview of the exciting announcements and partnerships to be unveiled at the show. More than 60 percent of the news came from companies outside the U.S., demonstrating the global reach and impact of CES. Some of the presenting companies included Abbott, Ambient Scientific, Bosch, Doosan, EssilorLuxottica, Harbor Lockers, Hyundai, Hisense, Indy Autonomous Challenge and Ink Invent, Kia, LG Electronics, Ot

The show also features a record number of startups in Eureka Park®, the home of innovative technology where anyone with a world-changing idea can find their market and connect with potential investors, partners and customers. Up to 130,000 attendees and journalists will explore the stories of these entrepreneurs and learn about the latest trends and developments in various sectors and industries.

Two of the highlights of the show are the keynote addresses by Siemens President and CEO Roland Busch and L'Oréal Group CEO Nicolas Hieronimus, who shared their visions for the future of innovation and sustainability in their respective fields.

On Monday evening, Busch delivered the first keynote of the show, showcasing Siemens' innovations in AI and immersive engineering that are enabling industrial metaverses where the physical and digital worlds are integrated and redefined. He also showcased some of the products and partnerships that are helping innovative companies around the world thrive using the Siemens Accelerator, an open digital business platform. Some of the partners he highlighted were AWS, Blendhub, Red Bull Racing, Sony and Unlimited Tomorrow.

On Tuesday morning, Hieronimus delivered the first-ever beauty keynote at CES, unveiling CES 2024 Innovation Award-winning technology, AirlightPro, a revolutionary device that addresses multiple hair needs while reducing environmental impact. He was joined by Eva Longoria, who demonstrated the features and benefits of the device. Barbara Lavernos, Deputy CEO of Research, Innovation and Technology at L'Oréal, also spoke about the company's kaleidoscopic hair coloring products, which use AI and augmented reality to create personalized and immersive experiences for consumers.

During CTA's State of the Industry Address on Tuesday morning, Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), celebrated the 100th anniversary of CTA, the owner and organizer of CES, and emphasized the importance of technology in empowering humanity on issues such as clean air and water, food, and access to healthcare and technology. CTA Senior Vice President, CES and member Kinsey Fabrizio also took the stage to provide an update on trends and sessions from the show.

"We are thrilled to bring exhibitors, attendees and media together at CES 2024 to showcase and dream about tomorrow's technologies and the innovations that are solving today's biggest challenges," said Shapiro. "CES is where business and politics converge, and there's no better place to do B2B and B2C business," he added.

Media coverage 

Media coverage of CES 2024 has already exploded, with the most talked-about topics being artificial intelligence, entertainment and office hardware, and gaming and e-sports. Companies are using the power of CES to create buzz around advances in display technology, smart home and assistive technology, and unexpected partnerships and enterprise solutions.

Technology Trends The future of technology will be shaped by AI, sustainability and inclusive design, according to the top technology trends to watch in 2024, presented by CTA's Director of Thematic Programs Brian Comiskey and Director of Research Jessica Boothe. They explained how these three pillars can enable the development of new technologies in various areas such as mobility, digital health, content, gaming and agritech. They also highlighted the role of Generation Z, a large and influential group of digital natives who are driving global trends with their fast and widespread access to the Internet, especially in emerging markets. They emphasized that innovation at both the consumer and enterprise levels can lead to a smarter, greener and more inclusive future.

Hot Products The CES 2024 show floor is buzzing with weird and wonderful technology from 180 exhibitors who showcased their products at CES Unveiled Las Vegas, a hands-on preview of the show's highlights. Some of the products that caught the eye of attendees and the media were Caterpillar's underground loader that emits zero carbon, NoWatch's wellness wearables that monitor your health and mood, Sebi's smart cookers that prepare your meals with minimal effort, and Expung Aerot's flying car that takes you to the skies. Other products that made a splash at CES included Burgee Motorcycles' TS Ultra electric motorcycle with Visual Sense" technology; TerraPlay, a virtual reality game from PalmPlug that helps stroke survivors recover; and Air2 Ultra, augmented reality sunglasses from Xreal.

The big picture at CES CES 2024

The big picture at CES CES 2024 is not only about showcasing the latest and greatest in technology, but also about addressing the global challenges and opportunities that technology can create. The show will feature more than 250 conference sessions and an Innovation Policy Summit, where policymakers from around the world will exchange ideas and best practices on how to foster innovation and regulation. CTA also announced the launch of the Consumer Technology Circularity Initiative (CTCI), a voluntary industry policy that aims to reduce waste, promote reuse and recycling, reduce climate impact and extend the life of devices. Supporters of the initiative include Lenovo, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony.

"CES is the ultimate platform for technology, business and entertainment, where exhibitors, attendees and the media can discover and share the innovations that are solving the world's biggest challenges," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). "CES is where business and politics meet, and where B2B and B2C deals are made," he added.
