NRF is the world's largest retail trade show held annually since 2013. More than 1,000 companies from around the world participate in the event, showcasing a variety of new technologies and products to check the latest trends in retail.
JetCheck™, an unmanned checkout counter that provides a smooth payment experience and store management support, is an unmanned payment solution that includes hardware manufacturing and consumer-optimized software.
Hyosung TNS, an industry leader in the ATM market in Korea, the U.S. and other countries, is expanding its business into the unmanned payment solution market by leveraging its financial IT expertise.
In Korea, Hyosung TNS has been supplying unmanned self-checkout machines to major supermarkets such as Shinsegae and E-Mart, and health and beauty stores such as CJ Olive Young since 2020, and will enter the unmanned payment solution business in the United States in 2023. JetCheck™ is available in three models, C(Cash), X(eXpress), and E(Entry), which can be implemented according to the size of the store and customer needs.
In addition, Hyosung TNS introduced a product equipped with an AI Vision solution created in collaboration with Shinsegae I & C, a retail technology specialist. The AI Vision solution prevents abnormal payments such as missing product scans and theft during checkout.
According to RBR, a consulting research firm in the payment sector, the global unmanned payment solution market is growing rapidly every year and is expected to reach US$3.8 billion by 2027.
