Com2uS' Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice (Frostpunk) enters Early Access in three regions: US, UK, and Philippines.
Com2uS plans to launch Frostpunk in Early Access in three key markets, the United States, United Kingdom, and the Philippines, to receive deeper and more diverse feedback from its core user base of city management and survival games, which will be actively incorporated into the game before its global release.
The company will also continue to engage with users in these three regions to provide substantial and rapid updates.
Frostpunk is the mobile version of the acclaimed survival PC game Frostpunk, which has sold over 3 million copies globally. It is being developed by original developer 11 Bit Studios and NetEase, creators of many mobile games based on big IPs including Diablo Immortal and Harry Potter.
Like the original, the game follows humanity as it suddenly faces an ice age, and players must manage a city powered by a giant steam engine and gather more survivors to survive in the harsh environment.
Players will be faced with a variety of moral choices as they try to survive and thrive, all while enjoying the emotion and fun of the original.
Some content is exclusive to the mobile version. These include Weather Station, a mini-game that allows you to overcome natural disasters, and Exploration, where you can battle in undeveloped areas to obtain the resources you need to survive. Other new content includes a trade system and an animal rescue center.
Earlier today, Com2uS released a new video to celebrate Frostpunk's three-country Early Access launch. The video opens with the line, "The cold has taken everything," and sets the scene for the game's goals and themes: humanity has been displaced by a sudden ice age, and players must struggle to survive.
