Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems have announced today a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Saudi Ministry of National Guard, aimed at exploring industrial opportunities in Land Systems.
Hanwha is strengthening and growing its partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the Kingdom’s goal to localize the defense sector.
Signed during the 'World Defense Show 2024' in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the MOU signifies a significant step forward in Hanwha's strategic alignment with the Kingdom. The goal is to address the growing security demands in the region and promote the development of local defense industries in the Middle East.
The MOU between Hanwha and the Saudi Ministry of National Guard is intended to support the increasing demand for defense capabilities in the Middle East. It outlines plans to explore partnerships that align with the Ministry's mid- to long-term acquisition goals across various disciplines. These potential collaborations include the production of armored vehicles and advanced monitoring and reconnaissance systems, leveraging cutting-edge robotics and satellite technologies.
“We are excited to begin exploring opportunities with the Ministry of National Guard," said an official from Hanwha. "By supporting the military sector, we hope to develop our strategic cooperative relationship over the medium to long term and contribute to Saudi Arabia's industrialization and security.”
