Doosan Bobcat was named in the manufacturing category of "The World's Most Innovative Companies of 2024" by Fast Company, an American publication focusing on business, management, technology, and design, on March 19th (local time).
Fast Company has been recognizing companies with world-changing innovations since 2008. This year's list honors 58 companies in various fields, including manufacturing, health, climate, energy, AI, and more.
Doosan Bobcat, the developer of the world's first skid-steer loader, leads the compact equipment industry with smart, eco-friendly technology. In 2022, the company unveiled two of the industry's first fully electric loaders, as well as two driverless concept machines that eliminate the need for a cockpit. At CES 2024, the world's largest electronics and IT show held in Las Vegas in January, the company continued to innovate, introducing the industry's first driverless articulated tractor and a lawn mower with autonomous driving.
Doosan Bobcat won two CES Innovation Awards in 2022 and 2024 and was named to Fast Company's "World Changing Ideas Awards" in the transportation category last May.
Fast Company also noted Doosan Bobcat's innovation in manufacturing. Doosan Bobcat invested nearly $12 billion in its Gwinner, North Dakota plant last year to introduce an automated press that stamps steel sheet molds, among other improvements to reduce manual labor and improve accuracy.
"Doosan Bobcat's innovation goal is to develop practical technologies that solve problems faced by our customers," said Scott Park, vice chairman of Doosan Bobcat. "We will build on the DNA of innovation that created the compact equipment industry and become a game-changer in the industry."
