Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) has been recognized by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) with a Platinum Award in the Sustainability Reporting category of the 2022/23 LACP Vision Awards, among more than 1,000 global organizations worldwide.
This is the third time KHNP has won the award, having previously won in 2020 and last year. The LACP Vision Awards is an annual competition organized by the American Communication Federation, the world's leading marketing organization, to evaluate and award reports published by companies and organizations around the world.
In the report, KHNP was judged to have clearly and easily communicated its sustainability efforts, including becoming a clean energy company leading the carbon-neutral era, operating nuclear power plants with safety first, and revitalizing the nuclear ecosystem. As a result, KHNP received a perfect score of 99 out of 100 points in seven of the eight evaluation categories, including stakeholder communication, narrative, and creativity.
"As the largest power generation company in Korea, KHNP will continue to practice environmental, social, and transparent management and strengthen communication with internal and external stakeholders to become a carbon-neutral clean energy leader trusted by the public," said Hwang Ju-ho, President of KHNP.
