Netmarble has announced that its MMORPG Arthdal Chronicles: Three Factions (Arthdal Chronicles) will launch on April 24 in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
On March 22, Netmarble released a broadcast on its YouTube channel in which Netmarble F&C PD Jang Hyun-jin, head of development for Arthdal Chronicles, and Netmarble Business Head Jung Seung-hwan answered user questions.
"The composition and fun created by the competition between factions," said Netmarble F&C PD Jang in the broadcast. "It allows the weak to experience war content casually by becoming a faction without distinguishing between the strong and the weak, and provides the fun of challenging wars for the strong to protect and lead."
In Arthdal Chronicles, everyone has to choose a faction, and with that choice come thousands and tens of thousands of allies who grow with them, and an equal number of enemies from other factions. Players can contribute to their faction based on their play style, whether it's fighting, warfare, gathering, or cooking, and experience the joy of playing together.
"Spirits and mounts are presented as probabilistic products. We will ensure that acquiring them necessitates reasonable play and effort, alongside billing," stated Netmarble's Business Head, Jung. "We will consistently and plentifully provide them, not as a one-time offer, and will continue to offer them through various events even after the launch."
Netmarble has also unveiled a user rewards program to share rewards with users. Instead of rewarding only a few, the program will reward those who contribute to the enjoyment and growth of the game, including faction leaders who put in a lot of effort and time to lead their factions, users who participate in voting, which is a key part of political activity, and alliance leaders and members who work to revitalize their alliances.
Netmarble will release Arthdal Chronicles simultaneously on April 24 in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on Google Play and the Apple App Store, and it will be available on both mobile and PC.
Arthdal Chronicles is an MMORPG based on the same universe as the TV series Arthdal Chronicles, where lawless forces are engaged in a massive power struggle for control of a continent. The game features various elements that allow for political, social, and economic cooperation between the three factions, and it pursues the essential fun of MMORPGs through battles that emphasize the role-playing of each class.
