NCSOFT (NC) and Google Cloud will foster global collaboration in AI, cloud computing, and productivity.
On March 26th in North America (March 27th in Korea), NCSOFT CEO Kim Taek-jin and Mark Lohmeyer, Vice President of Google Cloud AI and Machine Learning Infrastructure, convened at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, California, USA.
The two entities deliberated on expanding global collaboration in the realms of cloud computing and AI, establishing a mid- to long-term collaboration framework for AI, cloud technologies, and productivity enhancements.
The collaboration will encompass applying AI technology throughout the game development process to deliver novel gaming experiences, incorporating Google Cloud services for data analysis in game development, optimizing live service operations, and enhancing game operation, crafting a platform to nurture a robust gaming ecosystem and introducing Gemini for Google Workspace to augment worker productivity.
The partnership aims to broaden its global collaboration initiatives. NC plans to leverage Google Cloud's Vertex AI, including Gemini and Gemma, to augment VARCO, a generative AI language model developed by NC.
"Commencing with this discussion, we aim to expand our global collaboration and fortify cooperation in areas of mutual benefit," said Kim Taek-jin, CEO of NC. "Together, we will forge an ecosystem with Google Cloud to pioneer new gaming experiences for users worldwide."
"NC has been a close partner with whom we've collaborated on numerous fronts," remarked Mark Lohmeyer, Vice President of Google Cloud. "We anticipate extending our collaboration into additional domains, such as AI and productivity, to deliver novel and extraordinary experiences to gamers globally."
