Napatech today announced the opening of a new office in Seoul, South Korea. This continues Napatech's expansion in the Asia Pacific region following the opening of Napatech's Tokyo office in 2010.
"We see a lot of potential in the Asia Pacific region and the response since we opened our office in Tokyo has been very encouraging", stated Erik Norup, CMO Napatech. "Some of the leading global OEM vendors in network monitoring, security and test are based in South Korea and we expect to see a similar positive response now that our South Korean office is officially opened." The new Napatech office will provide local sales and support to the growing number of Napatech customers in South Korea.
"Providing local sales and technical support is important in responding to the strong demand for Napatech products in South Korea", said Thomas Jørgensen, VP Sales APAC, Napatech. "It will help our OEM vendor customers in South Korea to accelerate their developments and get to market quicker with world-leading products." In addition to Japan and South Korea, Napatech is seeing growth across the entire APAC region including India as well as in other regions, such as South America.
"We have traditionally focused on the North American and European markets, but we are now seeing a great deal of activity in other regions", added Norup. "This reflects the fact that network monitoring, analysis, security and test are no longer nice-to-have, but have-to-have capabilities wherever IP networks are deployed. OEM vendors are also realizing that ensuring acceptable performance in high-speed networks requires network appliances that can keep up with traffic growth as we move from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps and now 40 Gbps".
Representatives from the Seoul office will be available at the Interop Tokyo conference from the 8th to the 10th of June at booth (#4Y04) where Napatech will be hosting a joint demonstration with Spirent Communications featuring 40 GbE packet capture and virtualization.
