Minnesota, USA -July 6, 2011 - It is summer, the season where traditionally most people do the most of their reading activities; The Nook and Kindle -my personal favorite - make it easy for book lovers to take their favorite books to the beach, vacation home, or even on a road trip. Yet, for some people it costs too much -when you take into account the cost of the device plus reading materials - for them to even consider buying one of these e-readers. Luckily, an e-book swapping service, known as ebook fling, exists to help cut back the costs of books while still giving the opportunity for users to enjoy the wide selection that they wish to have.

Lending and borrowing e-books was always an option with both the Nook and Kindle; however, it is difficult to find people that you know who have the same device which contains the books that you wish to read. For this reason, ebook fling was created to both lend and borrow e-books anonymously so that there was greater chance for people to find books while not sacrificing users' privacy.

Ebook fling bases its lending and borrowing on credits. For every book that is lent, there is one credit received to be used towards borrowing one book. If you are like me and do not have an impressive sized library, there is always the option to buy credit. For 20 credits, it costs $29.99; 10 credits cost $19.99; and 3 credits cost $8.99. Ultimately if you calculate the cost for each credit, it comes out to be less than the typical cost of an e-book. You do not need to expand your library of lendable books in order to enjoy the benefits of reading more books than you normally would.

Just like a local library, ebook fling offers its books to be available for a 2-week period; after this time, the user would need to be finished with the book or offer up more credit to get the book back again. Yet, during this season I would be surprised if people could not finish them up within this time frame; the weather is great to sit outside and just read at every free moment.

Like most services, ebook fling is not perfect; for instance, some books are not available to be borrowed or lent -this is determined by the publisher. Yet, there is a wide selection available nonetheless. It makes it simple to browse for books to decide on whether or not there is a need to purchase it. Also, if there is a book that you really love, you can always decide to purchase it after the e-book deactivates; although, once you read a book, normally one full read is enough to fulfill your reading needs.

Earlier this year, Kindle announced that it would make books available through the Public Library System. Although this is not an option yet, you can look forward to it because the estimated availability is within this year; this way there will be service without any costs at all! This is yet another reason for some people to run out and buy a Kindle.

If you are looking for free e-books, visit ereaderIQ.com since it is a great tool to find these and it updates its list daily; nothing can compare to the feeling of getting enjoyment out of what you can get for free!
