Xirona(r) Volcanic Sparks is the first color travel pigment from the Xirona(r) product family based on calcium aluminum borosilicate flakes coated with metal oxides. The combination of these two innovative technologies gives a special color travel effect from red to copper to gold, which changes depending on the viewing angle. The color is shiny gold when viewed from a flat angle and changes to clear, fiery red as the viewing angle increases. The particle size, ranging between 20 to 200 um, gives rise to a vibrant, fiery glitter effect.
Xirona(r) Volcanic Sparks can be used in both color and personal care cosmetics. The pigment can easily be added to cosmetic formulations to achieve outstanding glitter effects in transparent formulations, even at extremely low application concentrations.
