MAN Truck & Bus Korea CO., Ltd. (MAN Truck below), subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus SE, 250 years of company history, based in Germany, sucessfully supplied cartering special vehicle to passenger aircrafts in September, 2011.
Newly introduced special vehicles are MAN TGM 6X2 vehicles with 290 horsepower and are supplied to the first scheduled operation of A 380 aircraft among domestic airlines.
The vehicles are equipped with Euro 5 system and the emission control system is EGR.
Main specifications of the vehicles are 11 meter in length, 4 meter in height, and 2.5 meter in width with 6 X 2 driven way. The performances of the vehicles are 290 hp in maximum output and maximum torque, 117 kg.m, higher than competitors' vehicles.
Also, air spring, disck brake, and auto gearbox (MAN Tipmatic) for all axles are applied among local medium and heavy duty trucks at first.
MAN Truck has been focused on tractor and tipper sales of heavy duty trucks with TGX and TGS product lines past a decatde.
Through the introduction of TGM model of medium duty trucks, MAN are being prepared for a variety of product lines in order to meet customers' need.
Two additional TGM models are planned to supply to a domestic airline company. Hence, this opportunity is expected to reinforce technically professional image of MAN Trucks in medium duty segment.
In addition, MAN Truck plans to launch TGM/TGL models of medium duty truck in Korea from 2012. Representiting image as one of market leaders in Europe will be promoted in Korean market.
The year of 2011 will be a remarkable year for the 10th anniversary of company's establishment and MAN Truck will reinforce customer proximity and proactive marketing activities.
