Tailwind has applied for a patent in the fabrication process of its Radial NdFeb Sintered Ring Magnet. The technology that was applied to this product is considered to be the most advanced Korean technology in this year's show. Comparing to radial ring ND magnets, segment neodymium magnets are more complicated to attach. This makes them cost more and have more chances to show lower precision and to be displaced. However, radial ring magnets have lower per-unit cost and excellent precision due to the simple shape and fabrication process. Also, it offers a variety of magnetic configuration and angles, and FLAX is spread even horizontally and vertically. Sizes of the product can be customized: a maximum outside diameter, 150mm; minimum inside diameter, 10mm; maximum wall thickness, 2mm; maximum length, 50mm. The surface is covered with Ni, Zn, and epoxy and the grade of magnesium ranges 35 to 50 MGOe.
