Merck KGaA announced today its Korean unit will receive an Excellence Award at the '9th Korea Color Award' ceremony to be organized by Korea Society of Color Studies.
The Korea Color Award was established to promote the development of the nation's color-related industry and enrich its expertise. The award's annual review considers color leaders from organizations and individuals in eight categories of urban residence and environment, construction and interior, product, fashion, visual image and information device, living services, color planning and design, color culture and technology. A total of 18 winners were selected this year.

Grand prize winners are Hyundai Engineering & Construction's Banpo Hill State (in category of urban residence and environment) and Cheil Industries' Color Galaxy (in category of visual image and information device). Besides Merck, Noroo Paint & Coatings' Pantone & Noroo premium paints and individual Mr. Lim Kyung-chul with a color chamber theme involving camera color were selected as Excellence Award recipients.
The award ceremony had been taken place Friday, Oct. 7 at 5:30 pm in ECC Lee Sam Bong Hall of Ehwa Womans University.
