Nexus Chip comes to the event with 3D Chip and 3D software that transforms images into 3D for mobile devices

KES 2011, Korea, October 13th - Nowadays, 3D images are everywhere and broadcasting is no exception. Human vision is accustomed to three-dimensional views. With Cinema 3D TV released by LG Electronics, which earned the company the reputation as a world-class 3D TV maker, 3D has come closer to the everyday lives of Koreans. Meet the forerunners of the 3D industry in Korea including TV Logic, Visual Research, Hoseo Telecom, 4DVISION, and Nexus Chip at Digital broadcast equipment-3D expo hall at 2011 Korea Electronics Show (KES 2011) and experience how closely 3D has come into our lives.

TV Logic produces broadcasting HD monitor, which accounts for whopping 80% market share in Korea. Their monitor is acknowledged, in particular, with broadcast viewing angle and its color quality. 80% of major Korean domestic terrestrials including KBS, MBC and SBS use the products. According to Future Sauce, data research agency in the UK, TV Logic ranks at 3rd in the UK and 4th in the US with its market share. Booho Choi, TV Logic's director, revealed the company's ambition to claim 70 to 80% of worldwide market share in the future..

Visual Research released Tornado 3D, a broadcast graphic solution, real-time delivery graphic solution that can be utilized in various areas including news, sports and weather forecast programs. Subtitle captioned on TV programs is one example of broadcast graphics. Tornado 3D is differentiated as it gives three-dimensional effect. Adding optional V-series makes works easier depending on the characteristics of producing programs. With V-series, users can simply add text into designed graphics.

Hoseo Telecom introduces its delivery equipments for public TV, satellite broadcasting and studio type local origination in residence such as building and apartments. MPEC Encoders series, Digital Modulators, Converters are one of the product portfolios. MOEC Encoder is an equipment that delivers digital signal without the process of deactivation within 0.14 seconds. It exerts twice as high in resolution with the support of full HD 1080p.

4DVISION is 3D content and software developer. During KES 2011, the company showcased its 3D display that requires no use of glasses, developed first time in Korea with the support by Korean government. The all-Korean glassless 3D display accredited overseas first ever in the industry. It offers multi-vision and any display size and can be applied to both LCD and LED. 4DVISION is developing multi-dimensional signboard for the roof of buildings together with Hivino, Japanese LED manufacturer, and plans to release its prototype model in the coming December.

MICRO DISPLAY displayed its 3D glassless panel, which is applied to 3D Cinema TV by LG Electronics. With its 20 inch product commercialized, it is scheduled to commercialize 25 inch product within this year. The product allows viewers easy access to 3D images through TV. MICRO DISPLAY's 3D panel has strength as it is designed that is optimized in TFT.

Nexus Chip comes to the event with 3D Chip and 3D software that transforms images into 3D  for mobile devices. 3D Chip enables to transform images into 3D taken from dual camera in different pixels. Its feature saves the cost of buying dual camera in identical pixels and cut the overall purchase price in half. 3D software transforms general graphic games into 3D and is available through downloads from App and brings the same effect of Nintendo 3DS. Paul Jung, section chief in Nexus Chip, commented that they launched developing the products as 3D contents lacks in comparison to the supply ratio of 3D devices. He added that existing contents is added to the app that brings 3D effect and Nexus chip has already reached to licensing contract on 3D IP with global AP provider.
