Samuel Yongho Song , CEO and president
Since Cyber telecommunications company, Anyuser.Net (www. anyuser.net) is poised to provide the highest quality 070 VoIP service at the lowest price, the company is expected to lead 070 VoIP service market at home and abroad. Anyuser.Net is worthy of notice in that it intends to export VoIP service, terminals overseas rather than focus on the domestic market, which is no more than 2% of the world communication market, according to company CEO and president Samuel Yongho Song in an interview with The Korea IT Times. In particular, the CEO keeps eye on the fact the Internet phone business is one of the IT839 strategies that the government is pursuing to build domestic IT capability. If the company makes the effort to export domestic VoIP technologies (services, solutions, and terminals, etc.) rather than sell in the small home market, Mr. Song believes the 070 VoIP service business could play a role in raising per capita gross domestic product (GDP) to $20,000. As a VoIP specialized firm with a domestic market share of over 50%, Anyuser.Net is well placed to seize the global market initiative. Mr. Song explained the company is launching various projects under a strategy to build a worldwide VoIP brand in the years to come. Anyuser.Net has gained accolades from large client companies at home and abroad such as Kotra, Lotte, Daewoo, Hyundai, Ssangyong through offering the best VoIP telephone call quality through a stable service. To provide rapid response after/service, Anyuser.Net is constructing a total of 200 distribution centers nationwide, which will install equipment as well as offer maintenance and/or repair services. On the prospects for the 070 VoIP service market, CEO Song said, "As the introduction and use of Internet phones is a worldwide trend and the general public knows that there is no difference in comparison with regular telephones, substitution will happen gradually". He is confident that through this process, the 070 VoIP service market will eventually heat up". Currently, 070 VoIP service are being used mainly by those who make frequent overseas calls and corporate customers whose call charge reduction rate are high. However, at such time that the 070 VoIP service will be connected with the general phone system, he said he expected the bulk of subscriptions to come from individual customers. In the meantime, Anyuser.Net has invested 20 billion won in developing the 070 VoIP service business and has acquired a total of 11 patents to date.
Regarding the multiplier effect that the introduction of the 070 VoIP service will have on the economy, the CEO said he predicts users will be able to enjoy various added services such as voice, moving-screen, and the other content in virtue of the embedded VoIP technology, so promoting evolution of the telephone from a simply voice-oriented communication service. Moreover, Mr. Song believes the 070 VoIP service will be a catalyst that will change a previously voice-oriented communication concept to a form of new communication that will be able to access a diversity of information simultaneously. In this fashion, the 070 VoIP service is expected to boost the quality of life one notch higher, he said. More information is available at www. anyuser.co.kr or by calling (82-2) 556-8200
