KES 2011, October 15, 2011 --- The main attraction of KES 2011 is mostly brand new electronic products such as large screen 3D displays, smart household appliances, advanced computers. However, all these products would not exist without right components. The development of components made possible to build more advanced electronics. KES 2011 is not just about consumer electronic products, but many leading component manufactures joined the event to show their new technology that will bring the future electronic products.
Samsung Electro-mechanics as a leading Korean component and module manufacturer showed various new products in the field of component, mobile, display, computer, and eco & future. At the front of the booth, company displayed two new products, 0603 size 2.2uF MLCC (multiple layer ceramic capacitor) and a rechargeable module for electric cars. Samsung developed the world's first 0603 size 2.2uF MLCC which will largely be used in smartphone and LDC displays. The other product is rechargeable module for electric cars which has maximum transfer rate of 93%, surpassing competitors.
Taiyo Yuden is another global leader in electronic components and modules participating in KES 2011. The Japanese company with strong ties with major electronic manufactures including Samsung, LG, Nokia, and Sony showed various electronic components and modules. One of the notable product is world's first 1206 size 220uF MLCC (multiple layer ceramic capacitor). The higher capacitance for the size can reduce the size of electronic devices.
Bourns is the American company in manufacturing wide range for electronic components such as resistors, transformers, fuses, protectors, and more. The company displayed wide range of protectors for three different industries - telecom, industrial, and consumer electronics. The major product displayed in KES 2011 is the new TBU high-speed protectors that can block both high voltage and currents at the same time. Traditionally separate chipsets are required for voltage and current. While the current manufacturing cost is a bit high for wide adaption, but the potential is great for future products.
Yelism GMS showed the capacitive hard coated glass called TEC Glass. The glass is manufactured by world's leading Pilkington Group. The clear capacitive coated glass can be manufactured in different size and thickness as well as the resistance level. The TEC Glass can be applied to showcase, display, computer, oven window, solar cell, tvs, and more.
VINYL I is an innovative digital marketing company through technology. At KES 2011, the company introduced the world's first interactive transparent glass showcase. While looking at the product inside of the glass, bright color images can be displayed on the showcase and touched for the interactive experience. "Translook" can be used not only as showcase but in museum, library, exhibition, etc.
