International Meeting on Information Display 2005 IMID 2005 (International Meeting on Information Display) will be held from July 20 to 23 at the COEX in Samsung-dong Seoul Korea. This exhibition has been co-organized by KIDS (Korea Information Display Society), the Electronic Times, and two other organizations. As displays have become one of Korea's main export items, the scale and weight of the display industry is also rapidly growing. Accordingly, a display exhibition with internationally status is badly needed. In particular, Korea is the largest display producer in the world. Considering the status of the Korean display industry, the IMID 2005 should be developed as a top level specialized exhibitions. In case of Japan, as of 2005, three display-related academic conferences and exhibitions that will include the participation of Finetech and FPD International are being held. An Overview of IMID 2005 IMID is the only display exhibition in Korea. Meanwhile, the world's largest LCD and PDP manufacturers will participate in this exhibition, while exhibiting their products, parts and materials, and equipment. Compared with other kinds of exhibitions, the number of specialists among the visitors is higher than that of ordinary visitors.
