Sun Microsystems said on December 20, 2005 that it has signed strategic alliance agreements with Busan National University Hospital and Busan Techno Park for the promotion of businesses related with 'U-Healthcare,' a regional project launched to provide better healthcare services to the aged people. Sun Microsystems said the agreements will enable the company to provide assistance in building a comprehensive information network necessary for the project's ubiquitous health care systems, such as tele-monitoring medical service, and an industrial base for senior citizenfriendly products.
