Incheon International Airport Corp. (IIAC) recently said that it would spend 2 billion won on its "U-Airport" project this year.
To this end, IIAC signed a contract for mapping out a master plan for the UAirport project with the Samsung SDS consortium at the end of October last year. The consortium consists of Asiana IDT, SK Telecom and AirLink.
The project, which includes the emigration and immigration business through electronic passports and the baggage disposal process using RFID, is a next-generation strategic project now being advanced by Changi Airport of Singapore and Narita Airport of Japan. To effectively push for the project, IIAC launched a focus group, a consultation body consisting of 15 officials from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation and Korea Customs Service, in November last year.
KFSB to Spend W28 Billion for Informatization Project Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (KFSB) announced that it would spend a total of 28 billion won for the informatization project of small and medium-sized companies to help them improve productivity.
The total spending will break down into 5.4 billion won for construction of managerial system for informatization, 4.5 billion won for enterprises pursuing reform for informatization, and 8 billion won for production for informatization. It will also support 3.5 billion won for process reform, 3.2 billion won for cluster of reform of informatization by industry, and 500 million won for prevention of illegal outflow of Korean technology.
