Korean Pavilion to showcase 20 software SMEs from Korea
The Korea Software Industry Association (KOSA) will be leading the Korean delegation of 20 software companies to the 2006 CeBIT taking place in Germany from March 9-16, for their display of software solutions at the 25 booths of the Korean Pavilion.
CeBIT is a comprehensive IT exhibition where more than 600,000 visitors and buyers from over 60 countries will gather to get a first-hand glimpse of the latest technologies and products in the IT field. Moreover, the exhibition, which attracts more than 100,000 people from the news media, has become a world-renowned stage for IT products and services presenting the future trend of the market. Since the 1990s, the number of participants to the event has continued to grow and today the exhibition boasts 27 exhibition halls. In 2005, a total of 6,411 companies and over 500,000 buyers took part in the exhibition, thus living up to its reputation as the world's largest exhibition for the IT industry.
The Korean software companies that will be housed at the Korean Pavilion will be displaying their latest innovative solutions and services. These include embedded solutions, mobile solutions, RFIDs, wireless communication devices as well security and multimedia products.
At the Korean Pavilion, the Korean delegation will be actively engaging in PR activities promoting Korea's IT industry and the u-IT839 project by playing Korean IT promotion videos on a large screen installed at its PR booth on Hall #3 under the slogan of Dynamic u-Korea. An official of KOSA said, "Since 2003, some 20 companies have been participating in the Korean Pavilion. In order to help them achieve good results, we have been providing them with market information and buyer search services prior to the event. Moreover we plan to publicize them and provide one-to-one business matching services."
